I have got to agree with Peter Hertz - "stay out of Iran!"
Any intervention in Iran by the USA will be a gift to the mullahs. They will use it to rally the people behind them if it is a limited intervention and an all out attack will surely lead to a disaster that would make the situation in Iraq now seem positively serene.
I am continually amazed by the naivety of our "best" analysts and the discussion I have just read does not make me feel any better.
