Email about an Islamist apologyReader comment on item: [The Canadian Islamic Congress:] An Islamist Apology Submitted by Naeem Din (United States), Jul 20, 2005 at 09:44 I clearly agree that we need to confront radicalism in Islam. As a secular Muslim, terrorism and general anti-West, anti-Israel attitudes and anti-Semitism among Muslims greatly distress me. I just feel so powerless to do anything about it. If you can suggest some ways, I will be obliged.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Anti-Islamist Muslims have a crucial role in the war against radical Islam - explaining the problem, proposing alternative visions, organizing themselves into a lobby, helping with intelligence-gathering, and so on.DP Comment on this item
