Judeoscope welcomes the CIC's retraction

On behalf of contributors to Judeoscope, a Montreal-based information website, I wish to congratulate Dr. Pipes on the CIC's full and unconditional retraction. Having monitored the CIC for many years, we at Judeoscope, are aware of the organization's typically ambiguous retractions and "clarifications". May it serve as a precedent and help Dr. Pipes in taking to task othe Islamic organizations which have defamed him.

We are particularly pleased by Dr. Pipes' victory since Judeoscope was the first media to report on CIC Vice-President Wahida Valiante's libelous piece which defamed him as well as famed Islamologue Bernard Lewis and the late owner of CanWest Global Communications, Israel Asper. Judeoscope was also the first media to criticize the piece both on its own website and in a paper published by Frontpage Magazine.
