Reader comment on item: Obama, Kerry and Netanyahu Go Visceral
in response to reader comment: Netanyahu may have over-played his Trump hand [1

Hi, Opensoc.

I described Netayahu's "rantings" in "quotation marks"; because, though others may have thought of them as rantings, I do not. I believe he is fully in control of his faculties.

Netanyahu began making overtures to Trump, as soon as the latter got elected -- beginning with a congratulatory call. I don't think he expected the vitriolic blow-back Obama would heap upon those who even hinted at supporting Trump. He MIGHT have gotten too friendly too soon with the President-elect; and this MIGHT have irked Obama to the point of lashing out at Israel. That's just passing speculation on my part.

It was Bibi Netanyahu, who opened up the "settlements" can of worms in the first place, by unilaterally calling for a freeze in 2008. That was a BIG mistake on his part; and the UNSC resolution is the result of it. It's hard enough for the US to support an unpopular Israel, without the Israeli PM arming his enemies like that.

I get pretty weary, trying to decipher the true intentions of either Obama OR Netanyahu. I'm more interested in their actions.

Israel has a bright future? The Bible certainly doesn't say so. Zech. 14 foresees a catastrophic war for both Israel AND the world's nations. Last month, the US President turned against Israel -- a President elected by the majority of the US voters. There is nothing to say, that a future president will not do the same.
