I need advice about my friend's Muslim fiancéReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by VERY CONCERNED (United States), Jul 26, 2016 at 12:45 Hi, last night I started surfing the Internet looking for information on Muslim men. I'm not going to mention names or what country my friend's fiancé lives in. I know she has been on this website before but it was when her marriage fell apart from her ex. I don't why but I'm worried especially after reading some stories I have read and finding out when Muslim men have children that his children must be Muslim and I will explain why this worries me. They have been together for a year. They met on a dating website. She bought a plane ticket to travel to see him 6 months later. She stayed at his house with he and his family. She met many family members. They welcomed her with open arms. I'm not going to say what he does for a career but it's a good job and I know his parents both have good jobs. She didn't pay for food or anything they did. Only her plane ticket. I'm going to have pros and cons listed together. During this first trip to see him. They had sex many times. He's Muslim and keep in mind she met him on a dating site. She has many tattoos all over her body and i read last night this is not acceptable. When she went back home he asked her to marry him. His parents talked with her Mom on skype. Also she is 5 years older than him and their both are in their 30's. She told him she would not convert to Islam and their children would be Christian and he agreed. She thought she was pregnant but it was a false alarm. Therefore not any protection was used and they had just met. She has gone to his country again this summer and took her child who is under the age of 10. She paid for the plane ticket. They are staying in his house with he and his family. They provide all food and when they go do things for entertainment he pays for it all. She and her child are staying for a while during the summer. Her child loves him and by the photos I've seen it seems the same for him. My friend sent in all the paperwork at the end of May for a K1 visa. She said she sent almost five hundred pages. I can't shake off my gut feeling. I don't ever say anything harmful to her about this relationship because I know her well enough to know she would get angry with me. After reading more about his culture and his religion , I find it hard to believe at times this is not a scam. I read families can be in on these scams too. She's an older American woman who is divorced with a child, she will not convert to Islam ever, their children will not be Muslim, he is Muslim but yet he met my friend on a dating site and had sex with her before marriage. I read if the wife is Christian she can remain Christian. I also read the children must be Muslim because the father is. Could this be real love and I'm being ridiculous? My gut feeling brought me to this website. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
