Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Submitted by Mandy (New Zealand), Jun 29, 2005 at 08:42

I cannot beleive the way religous people are so selfish with their ownership of God, always trying to prove they have more claim to the future with God, than others. Yet God made the world and all who dwell upon it, it may feel nice for the ego to think that we have a special claim to be with God, but it has no basis in logic, or the truth that God is All, there cannot be any place where God is not, so any special claims to the right to be with him are nonsence and should not be tolerated. God is, when a man says he prays to God, when a man submits himself to the will of God, we have no right, and no basis to judge him wrong. That is between him and God. I am absolutely certain that the meek shall inherit the earth, all the rest will be fighting their illusionary battles for their special relationship, instead of realising it is absolutely constant alway was, always will be. The fear we have for one another is completely misplaced, we fear someone taking what is ours already, the only thing none of us can ever lose.

It's about time we got over this obsession with looking for Satan in the lives of others and got on with seeing and caring for the heaven we are so intent on squabling over. Peace takes alot more work than war, the work of love needs constant attention. God is All, if it were not so then we may as well go back to having a thousand descriptions and names. God requires that we love and obey him, what is complicated about that message?. I wish we would get on with it and stop wasting time in finding the devil in each other, and therefore making us unworthy to do his work. If we do not believe in the ONE God, and see that every one of us that listens intently to hear the message, who questions and searches to find the meaning and intention of God for his life, no matter what name he calls as he asks, must be talking to God, not seperate but ONE, as we are all One in God, how could it possibly be otherwise?.

To say that we must all have the same understanding and background, that we must repeat magical names to be in his presence is the worst type of blasphemy, why would God create a world so full of diversity and language and then make it impossible for us to reach him unless we travel the same road?. Surely there must be as many roads to travel to be beside him as he has created for us to follow. It seems to me those who want to be possessive of God have made him small and selfish, not himself, and therefore not us. They are trying to insist that we are seperate from, and not constantly with the ONE that keeps US held gently in this heaven and on this beautiful planet. We are not showing respect or gratitude for our ONE GOD who created us with all this dissension over terminology. Please let go of hatred, how can we have forgiveness, if we do not have understanding of our own responsibility?.
