Reader comment on item: Turkey's Erdo─čan Gambles and Loses
in response to reader comment: "Pope Francis denounces modern-day 'Judases' behind terror attacks"

"...- on the ground that only a Muslim is qualified to say who is, and who isn't a true Muslim.."

That's very shaky ground. Especially when you ask devoted Shia's about Sunnis or devoted Sunnis abut Shias.

"...But to demand that 2,000 years ago a court should be as fair as a modern Western court seems unreasonable;........" - BUT THEN ".....If we're going to criticize Islam, we should include a critique of Christianity, including the Murder of Jews and Muslims on the Road to the Holy Land; as well as the subsequent replacement crucifixion by Quartering and Burning Alive at the Stake"

Using the antics of SOME Christians 900 years ago to the actions of Islamists TODAY - seems a little unreasonable too, don't you think?
