A letter To Ms. SmithReader comment on item: Amazon.com's Koran Desecration Problem Submitted by Sam Luke (United States), Jun 3, 2005 at 15:53 Dear Ms. Smith:I consider this whole propaganda a big joke, the more attention you give the more the islamist groups are going to react to it and to future incidents. You give them an inch, they'll go for the whole arm. You guys should educate yourselves a little with what's happening to Christians in Arab and Islamic countries. If what happened to this Used koran is similar to what happens to them they'd have nothing to complain about. My friend most Christians in those countries face the worst you can imagine: - Getting their churches burnt. - Getting killed while praying in churches. - Getting their daughters kidnapped, raped and forced to convert to Islam. - Getting insulted to their faces about their religion. - Not getting the promotions or bonuses they deserve while other Muslim colleagues get them with much less qualifications. ..... and much much much more. I wonder about the audience that listens to Bill Maher while he's making jokes about the church and the Pope, laughing and having a good time and who knows, maybe some of Amazon employees are amongst the audience. Why the double standard? Sam Luke A concerned American Egyptian Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
