is this how a decent egyptian guy would act?Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Annie (Bulgaria), May 30, 2015 at 20:53 I am from Europe. I met one egyptian man in a dating site like 8 months ago. We are the same age. We work in the same field which was the initial reason why i started talking with him. I had many predjudices about arabs. It's not only our profession but it turned out that he and I share many things in common. Both of us are serious christians. Both of us want to go and develop our careers abroad. It's easy to talk with him about everything because most of the time we agree with one another or when we don't we discuss. He connect me with some of his friends and family- online of course, i haven't seen them in person by now. It took me some time to decide to meet him and few months ago we met in a third country because i didn't want to go to Egypt and taking visa for my country at that point was impossible for him. I had heard thousands of stories about arabic liars who use women for money or sex. He didn't leave me to pay for anything when we were on our holiday. Even when I suggested to he refused (kindly). He didn't sleep with me. We had a great time. I didn't find him different from the man that i knew from e-mails or skype calls. Maybe i have the opportunity to see how he would treat me (for few days of course). I wasn't in love before i met him but now I want to be with him. I knew that he came to propose me marriage and it wasn't a surprise when he did so. I knew he had spoken with his family before this and their opinion was important for me too. They agreed. So did mine. Our initial plan was a bit different but we ended up that way- I left my job and I am flying to Egypt soon. He already rent a place for me until we get married and paid for my flight tickets. He is arranging everything about our wedding. He has never asked me for money. He even sent me and keeps on asking me if I have enough (because I don't work anymore). I want to outline that he is not rich and never pretended to be. Actually he never pretended to be something special or great or so. He works a lot and earns his money alone. He knows that I don't want to live in Egypt (neither he does) neither he wants to live in my country. So our plan is to get married and to go abroad together after we finish our papers. He is not rushing for a marriage. But we want to do this moving abroad together as a family. He told me many times that he can wait for me if I am not sure if i want to marry him because for him (as for me) marriage is once. Why am I writing this post? Because I am scared like hell from all that stories in internet about evil egyptians and arabs and I am searching like crazy for any sign that this guy is not honest with me. I can't find. I feel that he doesn't try to deceive me about anything. Even about things that he knows i wouldn't like. After all stories that exist in the net- is this how a decent egyptian man would act? Submitting....
