What about these verses?Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Faith (Romania), May 16, 2015 at 13:58 What about these verses? Aren't they clear as water? 1. The Quran in Sura 65:1, 4 says: O Prophet, when you [and the believers] divorce women, divorce them for their prescribed waiting—period and count the waiting—period accurately . . . 4 And if you are in doubt about those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, (you should know that) their waiting period is three months, and the same applies to those who have not menstruated as yet. As for pregnant women, their period ends when they have delivered their burden. Conclusion: Mature men are allowed to marry prepubescent girls. 2. The Quran in Sura 4:129 says: It is not within your power to be perfectly equitable in your treatment with all your wives, even if you wish to be so; therefore, [in order to satisfy the dictates of Divine Law] do not lean towards one wife so as to leave the other in a state of suspense. Conclusion: A husband may simply get rid of one of his undesirable wives. 3. The Quran in Sura 4:24 says: And forbidden to you are wedded wives of other people except those who have fallen in your hands [as prisoners of war] Conclusion: Slave—girls are sexual property for their male owners. 4. The Quran in Sura 4:34 says: If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great. Conclusion: Husbands may hit their wives even if the husbands merely fear highhandedness in their wives (quite apart from whether they actually are highhanded). You brought up some good verses about ,,What islam says about women", which are positive. The negative ones are those above written by me. And the list can continue... If islam would treat women like in those verses which you mentioned, would women still be under oppression and treated like some objects? Maybe you will say about me: ,,This woman knows nothing about islam". I understand, because you defend your faith. But if wouldn't be like in those verses which I mentioned, then there would be no facts. But the facts speak for themselves. Therefore, you believe in Quran and act according to it. If it's not like this, then the islamic world should prove it. The entire planet knows how women are treated in islam. Can somebody from islam tell that is wrong to hit your wife? Nobody will tell is wrong, because otherwise it would contradict what the Quran says. I really wonder about many things concerning the woman in islam. For ex: If Allah is a LOVING God, why He tells it's ok to hit your wife? Does violence comes from LOVE? Another ex: If Allah is a LOVING God, why He tells you can have 4 wives? Because those 4 wives will always be jealous to one another. Does enviousness comes from LOVE? Therefore, this thing can cause many conflicts. According to my knowledge, God knows everything, He is the beginning and the end. When He created the human being, didn't He knew that it's not good to have conflicts because of jealousy? Doesn't He wants us to respect each other and love one another? A good exemple is this site. Why every woman from here is complaining that they had bad relationships with muslims men and ended up suffering? Isn't this a big questions? 1. The Bible in Genesis 2:22 says: And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her to the man. Conclusion: God did not created women for the man, He created a woman for the man. 2. The Bible in Luke 16:18 says: "Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery. Conclusion: If you divorce your wife and marry another, you commit adultery. God wants us to have peace and harmony in our families, not conflicts within it. If you get married, stay faithful to your wife. If you will not respect your wife, distrust and strife will appear. Why don't you read the Bible and compare it with the Quran? Why don't you compare Jesus's lives with Muhammad's and have your own conclusion? Everyone who reads this, I'm telling you: The moral law is the 10 commandments of the Bible. The world does not obey them anymore, so we are what we are today and everything is a chaos. P.S. When everything is in order, everything works properly. If all people would obey the law, would it be disorder? Submitting....
