Moderate Islam?Reader comment on item: [The Search for Moderate Islam:] A Reply to Lawrence Auster Submitted by Clifford Ishii (United States), May 19, 2005 at 00:26 If anything the recent episode with the false Newsweek story about the Gitmo Koran incident, and the uproar that followed it, even afte it was decared a false story proves that there is no such thing as moderate Islam. And if there is, they were silent and did nothing, which make them accomplices to the crime. So the question becomes what should be the response to a virulent Islam? Well for me the answer is clear. Christian Fundamentalism. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
