Even if the figures had been accurate the number of hate crimes against Muslims is small compared to hate crimes against other groups, especially the Jews. However hate crimes against Muslims is very rarely (if at all) caused by Jews. Unfortunately most hate crimes against Jews are caused by Muslims.

HATE CRIME STATISTICS, 2003 show 927 incidents against Jews, 149 incidents against Muslims.

The incident rating is No 1 anti-black 2548
No 2 anti-Jewish 927
No 3 anti-white 830
No 4 anti-male homosexual 783
No 4 anti-Hispanic 426
No 5 anti-homosexual (not rated for gender?) 247
No 6 anti-female homosexuals 187
No 7 anti-Asian/Pacific Islander 231
No 8 anti-Islamic 149

I have not included the miscellaneous other categories which push anit-Islamic hate crimes further down the list.
