If the Saudi Royal Family is removed from power, the alternative is an Islamist government. Since, as I understand it, Daniel Pipes is concerned with the rise of Militant Islam, I don't see the point of handing Saudi Arabia over to Islamists.

If Militant Islam rises to power in Saudi Arabia, then Islamists will be able to control the largest oil reserve in the world.

If Militant Islam rises to power in Saudi Arabia, they might just be able to get the nuclear bomb.

Keep the Saudi Royal Family.
