Moving on from Egyptian scammerReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Lina (United Kingdom), Jan 1, 2015 at 12:08 Claire, I and many others on here have experienced what you have... I know it's easy for people to say "just forget him". But I will say that it'll be a long process. And the first step you need to take is to start loving and respecting yourself. I remember checking up on my one, on his new victim... to begin with I was devastated. I hated the new woman even more than I did him. But then I asked myself - where is my self respect? How can I be so pathetic to let him have this hold over me? I saw that I wasn't in "love" with him, but with the country... the nice, exotic places.. the sun.. his attractive looks. The man that I fell for didn't exist! He was nothing more than a mirage. And I now PITY any woman that he gets his hands on. Once a cheater always a cheater - you think he won't do it all over again? Oh, you can bet he will. He has a rotten core. He chose you not because you're "worthless" - he saw in you a kind, giving, maybe vulnerable person to abuse. The only worthless person here is HIM. He is the bane of society. I know how it feels to be replaced. It's one of the worst feelings ever, especially as a female, but come on what have you lost? You've lost someone that was dragging you down, and would have drained you dry in every aspect. You've lost a user and a cheating bas****. Not such a bad thing to lose, it it?! Just think of him as a tumor that was eating away at you, and you've been cured. Right now, wherever they are, this other woman is probably sick of his cr**. You can bet he's not in love with her either. All that she has, that he couldn't get from you, was a Visa. And if he gets here you can only imagine what kind of a life she'll have to live and what her bank balance will look like. You, on the other hand, have seen his true colours before it's too late. You're free to do whatever you want, and again it won't happen straight away. Because based on your post you've got a lot of self loving to do. You need to stop abusing your body for a start. Listen, I think your problems lie elsewhere. I think you're using this "man" as an excuse because this was not "love" - not my definition of love anyway. Love doesn't hurt, lie or cheat. It was a toxic relationship that you were lucky enough to get out of. I know because I've been there. I was in a dark place and I fell for one of these gigolos, even thought I "loved him". But when I stripped back the layers I realised that it was all one big fantasy, and that I needed to wake up and sort my life out. This man was an escape from reality, much like the drink and drugs you take. But they're not going to help, they're going to drag you down. When you meet someone decent, it'll feel like you're coming home to yourself. He might not have a sexy accent. But you won't have to pretend to be someone you're not, or erase your identity to make them (or their mum) happy. You'll know the feeling, but until you start looking out for yourself it's not going to happen. All these overseas flings mostly turn out to be pipe dreams, and as I said most of the problems lie close to home. The best revenge that you can get is to pack up the drink and drugs (they make you age faster), get out there, sign up to a gym and lead a healthy lifestyle. Leave the scamming, pathetic man in 2014 where he belongs and maybe in a few years time you can look back and laugh.
