Hi cecyReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Donna (United States), Nov 21, 2014 at 07:13 Hi, I know you are concerned or you would not have found this site. First off muslims do not date! When you marry a muslim man he has 100% control over where you go, what you say, what you do, even what you eat and the children are his children by muslim law, the man always gets custody. He can deny you visits to your own family and search honor killings, some women have been killed by their husbands for as little as speaking to another man in public. If he claims to be muslim, there is no non practice muslim, either he is or he is not. Does he have citizenship in the USA? Have you met his family? Does he have a wife or wives back in Greece remember muslim men are allowed (4). Has he requested to meet your family? He can marry you and then marry another and there nothing you can do to prevent this, even if placed in the contract because this is all marriage is to a muslim (simply a legal contract, same as a bill of sale) To divorce you all he has to do by muslim law is say some words and in one day he is divorced from you and YOU have 21 days to vacate the home you helped to build and you will also be leaving your children behind and you have no recourse. Everything belongs to him. If he divorced you you will also have to return every item he ever gave to you. Once married to a muslim man even if you divorce him he will always always see you as his PROPERTY. There are some good muslim men out there but they will all put their family needs before you because even if you marry him you are not his family you are replacable. Most muslim men if their wife becomes disabled divorce them. I don't know the man your with only you can but I am part of a muslim family from Jordan, distant cousins yes and I love them but I no longer wear blinders or close my hearing as I did with the muslim man that scammed me. Aboud gave me the same song and dance almost word for word what yours told you. My family there finally told me a couple of days ago why he never came when I went there. When I first told him I had family there he had already asked me to marry him when I said I had a great aunt and cousins there he said come marry him before going to them or letting them know I was there I went to my family first. My male cousin said to me when he realized I had family protection I was no longer an easy target for him, and a musim man asking a girl to go around her blood family knows he would not pass an investigation which all families there do before marriages. Yet every time I returned to the USA he talked me into giving him another chance, but always wanted me to come directly to him not to my family. I went to my family every time, knew in the back of my mind something was off but was ignoring the warnings. It took his brother and other women to really let me know. Whatever you do, have him investigated throughly. You stay safe and research for yourself Islam and dont forget to look up sharia law, you research don't let him tell you about it. All I was told what little that was was all lies. Everything the man I fell for did was forbidden by Islam. Read through each and every one of the posts do you see all of us believed. If I had gone to him first and married him there would have been nothing my family could have done then, he would have total rights over me in every way. Have you met his father and mother? In muslim communitys the mother goes and interviews prospective brides then the son meets them. Dating is prohibited in islam. If you have not met the parents and the father has not asked for your hand in marriage in front of your family then the months of dating is as nothing he is having fun. Muslims are either muslims or not muslims there is no such thing as non practicing. My prayers are with you and only you can decide what is right for you. He said there was 14 yrs between mine and his age, but I now know he changes his age with each. Also know that a musim man sees any girl that has begun menustration as a adult even if 9 or 10. You are in all of our prayers, but I would ask him straight out to take you to meet his parents if he refuses, or puts you off, or makes an excuse they have never heard of you. Take care of you and God bless you. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
