Reader comment on item: Convicting [Ali al-Timimi,] the "Paintball Sheikh"

Submitted by C (United States), May 2, 2005 at 10:44

Thank you, Dr. Pipes, for once again ensuring that "We, the People" are made aware of important developments in the nation's war against international Islamism and its terror.

As you note, many in the media have opted not to highlight positive acts by our government in this critical war. And when they do mention these items, they choose to devote more space to the continuing whining of those who claim that Islam is targeted, etc. This double standard that is employed never fails to amaze me -- the ACLU defends Nazis and Islamism, but denegrates the government and people of other faiths. How interesting it is that hate speech that crosses the line, designed to incite and inspire people to violent action, is still defended, depending on who is doing the speaking ...

Mr. Kromberg and his associates at the US Attorney's Office of the ED Va. equally deserve our thanks and praise for their untiring work in the battle, despite many efforts by media and "human rights organizations" to minimize their accomplishments. They are a committed group of people who could make much more money and gain more sleep if they worked in the private sector.

We owe you.
