Amusing story of another professor who "can't park his bicycle straight" (and looks the part). But isn't Erdogan's move to the presidency like Putin's move to the prime ministry, i.e. he retains all the real power?

Not at this time; there needs to be a constitutional change for the president to have the real power, and that means a big victory in the June 2015 elections.
