We must look at ISIS/ISIL as hundreds of colonies of thousands of red ants whose workers are all over the place killing everything in their path for the sole purpose of the 'queen'. Primeval instinct to conquer. End of story.

As to the largest human catastrophe, yes. But, in the end, wouldn't the islamization of the planet be the largest human catastrophe? Better a few hundreds of thousands die to wake up
