Swiss referendum supported by Italian speaking nationals

Reader comment on item: Conservatives Rally on the Streets of Paris

Submitted by Cornelia J. Boesch (Italy), Apr 2, 2014 at 09:14

Dear Mr. Pipes

I liked this article, however, with regard to the reference of Switzerland I would like to correct two mistakes:

1) The Swiss voted on a constitutional initiative, not a referendum; and

2) The Swiss canton Ticino strongly supported the constitutional initiative : see: http://www.nzz.ch/aktuell/schweiz/je-weniger-auslaender-desto-hoeher-die-zustimmung-1.18240391 for instructive maps.

Sincerely, Cornelia Boesch
