Response to Professional CheatersReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Sue (United States), Feb 20, 2014 at 01:14 Hi Yasmina, My heart goes out to you and the situation that you write about. I am sure that Luxor is facing the same sorts of economic woes that other Egyptian cities and townships are experiencing due to the sociopolitical drama that is still unfolding. Perhaps your Egyptian love is being truthful with you regarding his situation. The family pressures to take back his wife and children will stress him for sure, and of course, he will then make you feel those stresses, also. And because you love him you want to help him out. It is a conundrum for sure, and one that will probabaly go on until political stability resumes, and that MAY come about this year as elections are expected in the spring for Egypt. There comes a time, I believe, and I speak from my own experience, where you have to hold the line with the money giving/lending -- particularly when it is affecting the quality of your own life, as you have written about some medical issues for yourself but he used the money for a car instead. Perhaps that time has come now for you. Perhaps not giving money and observing what happens with the relationship if you don't give money may be a revelation for you both. It is beyond knowing what the outcome will be, but I think that you are correct in saying that you will post his name and discredit him in all ways that you can should he prove to be without integrity in regards to you. I totally get that this is a very difficult position that you find yourself in -- you love him, you believe that he loves you, too. It is a bad situation all around and it continues to be made worse because of the political scene. I am in my own situation also, and the terrible Egyptian economy complicates my lover's life and my life, too. I have seen through my own experiences that things have changed dramatically for many Egyptian folks -- particularly in the tourist areas like Luxor and the Red Sea resorts. I get that you have to pay for your stays in Egypt when you go to visit and be with him. That is a sucky situation for sure, and it has been my own experience, too, at times. You can either go crazy and get depressed, or you can assert some control (and I think you don't feel like you have much at all at the moment). I suggest that you take control by stepping back with the purse indefinitely. It will be difficult to stand firm on this, but you really must for your own sake. Yes, he probably will continue to have financial needs, but as we say here in the U.S., you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip. You need to protect your own financial situation for sure -- what benefit will there be is both if you are financial needy. I am sending you my powers of positive thinking. I am thinking positively for you that you will begin to think in a more positive vein for yourself. Best wishes to you! Sue Submitting....
