Reader comment on item: Non-Muslims Who Fast for Ramadan
in response to reader comment: What do we have to do with Islamic states?

Submitted by Amin Riaz (United Kingdom), Dec 21, 2013 at 13:29

Parshant - misrepresentation of someone's views is a logical fallacy. I am sure you are well aware of it.

"Amin seems to imply that those of us who possess open minds can remain indifferent to the societies where minds are encouraged to be closed."

This is nonsensical version of the argument.

- -

"If Saudi Arabia, for example, does not allow preaching of non-Islamic religions, it is everyone's problem."

Actually it isn't. KSA has every right to ban whomsoever it wishes.

- -

"In particular, it is the problem of those non-muslims who are open-minded enough to try fasting during Ramadan."

Why should it be?

- -

As you are no longer able to answer to me . . . it is somewhat futile having any sort of meaningful conversation with you.
