How much can Islam be Accommodated?

Reader comment on item: Which Privileges for Islam?

What happens when Muslims start demanding the right to wage jihad of the sword against those who criticize them, be it in ever so civil tones, kill apostates, or force non-Muslims to live in smaller houses and drive smaller cars? I have a queasy feeling that this demand will be made sooner than we think. I regret to say I am more and more pessimistic.
