I think there are definite policy implications to the decision made regarding Ramadan's visa status. If it is a question of policy makers using security as a pretext for attempting to legitimize certain interpretations of Islam, then I think this is very problematic. The question of why Tariq Ramadan was kept from entering the country must also address this issue. An interesting article to this effect is located here:
