I used to decry islamophobia, and as a consequence indulged in islamophilia. But I followed Spinoza's so simple advice, to engage in active seeking of knowledge. Study of the Koran and of the deeds of islamists has resulted in a major modification of my previous views. I have arrived at the conclusion that to tolerate Islam as it is, is to tolerate intolerance itself. Islam has to thoroughly de-medievalize, or else...
