What I would like to hear Dr. Pipes discuss are the intricacies of the Egyptian military, possible rifts within it, and the degree and level of Muslim Brotherhood infiltration.

This is a tough question for an outsider to answer. Suffice it to say that a significant portion of the officer corps has Islamist sympathies.
