Pipes vs. Auster

Dear Mr. Pipes,
I have read your commentary wrt Mr. Auster and would respectfully like to add my two cents to this debate. Let me say first off my understanding is closer to Mr. Auster's viewpoint than yours. While I believe you are an honorable and decent man, your faith in "moderate" Islam is troubling my spirit greatly.

You see, I became a born again Christian some time ago and as a result, I have been given the privilege of being able to see things as they are, not as they appear to be. I do not know where your heart is concerning spiritual matters but I believe that you have been hoodwinked. I am not being critical or trying to overtly offend you, I am merely attempting to reveal the truth about the spiritual warfare that has engulfed this world.

You are clearly a very smart man, Mr. Pipes and I have the utmost respect for what you are doing. However, there are some points that need to be addressed if this debate to be taken beyond the physical realm that we occupy. There can be no doubt that there is a very dark and demonic side to the Islamic faith, and that this pervades all of its motives and politics. I am naturally referring to its anti-semitic and anti-christ(ian) rants that many an imam has made against non-believers. Satan you see, hates the Jew and the Church. Islam it appears, feels the same way.

The inference here is so blindingly obvious that no-one, including yourself, must miss what I'm saying. Because the evil one is bound in the spiritual realm, it must act out its lying and murderous desires by way of proxy. Hence Dar al-Islam versus Dar al-Harb. The Adversary knows his time is short, thus the carnage and deception being prelevant. Nevertheless, may the Lord keep you and your family safe in these dangerous times.
