Lawrence Auster is correct. You are living in a dream called moderate islam.
As I person who lived among the moslems, I have found that 95% of them wish to implement the Koran with all its violence on the infidels.
Look at the middle east and all the moslem countries. These countries were non moslem before.
Now these countries became almost completely moslems because of the violence in islam it self.
Do not compare the time when the christians were fighting under the religion banner to the moslems fighting to kill the infidel.
The christians were not fighting because the bible told so but the moslems fight and will fight because the koran told them so.
Your learning of islam was through the moslems who gave you lies.
