Pipes vs Auster = Winning vs LosingReader comment on item: [The Search for Moderate Islam:] A Reply to Lawrence Auster Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Jan 28, 2005 at 18:24 Pipes's approach is much more sensible than Auster's. Militant Islam is the problem and it is morally wrong to suggest that 1 billion Muslims are all bad.Pipes is doing a fantastic job in speaking out against Militant Islam, terrorists and the liberals who support them. Auster reminds me of European far right-wingers, people who are good with words, but are worthless from a practical view-point. Pipes reminds me of the pragmatist who has identified Militant Islam as a problem and is wrongfully called a "Islamophobe", but is not willing to shut up. Pipes reminds me of a great pragmatist, like Ariel Sharon. Auster reminds me of somebody who will never be able to put his views into practice.
