I have a lot of criticism of CAIR, not a fan of much of its ideology or of that of a lot of "mainstream" muslim groups though I believe that it has done much good to fight for civil rights of Muslims in this country, though organizations like the ACLU have done even more. This duplicity however is not that of CAIR, it is that of lawyers. Take any lawyer who is paid to take on a case. He takes the side of his client no matter how absurd it is. It is his/her job to represent that point of view. So any lawyer taking sides on two different case may contradict himself all the time, that's the way the world works and I think even the "Muslims are the bogeyman" type people who tend to frequent this site would agree with that.
