FAU Muslim Students to host Siraj Wahhaj Jan 22
Reader comment on item: Canadian Islamists host [William W. Baker,] a neo-Nazi

Submitted by Emily (United States), Jan 20, 2005 at 00:46

The FAU Muslim Students Organization is at it again. Imam Siraj Wahhaj is scheduled to speak on Saturday January 22, 2005. The current President of the group, Asmaa Metwally, was interviewed by the Boca News in May 2004 after William Baker cancelled his appearance.

The Boca News stated, "With a new President and the will to overcome adversity, Metwally said that the MSO will do everything in its power to prove to FAU that it is a peace-loving group. But with the dwindling numbers, it may take time. "The MSO was much larger and powerful two or three years ago," Metwally said. "It feels like we're starting from scratch."

Sponsoring a radical Islamist Imam to speak seems pretty far-a-field from proving MSO "is a peace-loving group." Wahhaj has publicly stated his vision for America is the replacement of American democracy with an Islamic Caliphate (empire). You will worship Allah even if it kills you. "Rest in Peace." Perhaps that's what Metwally means by peace-loving.

Fed-up in Florida.
