I finally saw the signsReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Finally, on my own (Norway), Mar 20, 2012 at 07:38 Yes, Egyptian nightmare, that's how it turned out with me, too. I never thought that I, a grown up, educated woman, would end up in the statistics like this. Well, I am glad its over, but I also hope some persons will read this, and learn, learn, learn. Yes, I met him on holiday- the same day I was leaving for my home country, Norway.- For three months he called me on the phone, and I finally agreed to come down to see him again. So far all fine, I thought may be this time I will find someone who really loves me. First mistake. They are so full of words, words, words...when I came down to Egypt the second time, we rent an apartment, but I paid the rent and deposit, it of course. What really surprised me, was that he didn't meet me at the airport. As he always said that he was a real gentleman, not a "farmer", I thought gentlemen picked up their girlfriends and so on....well, I had an idea that we should go on trips in to the pyramids etc, but day after day I sat in the apartment, or at the pool, waiting for him while he was doing "business". One day he came home with some numbers on a napkin, I didnt understand what he was trying to say, but he needed some money rapidly for his business. Second mistake. I, stupid, stupid me, I gave him a big amount of money for his so-called business. Cause I always help my friends when necessary, don't I? He also told me that ha had a family, ok, we are not young people, so its ok that he has children, but he also told me that he was divorced from his wife, but only once- in his religion they must divorce three times, he told me. What could I say? I don't know his religion in details. He could say anything. When I asked for business, he told me it had gone down the drain. ok. Shit happens. Now I suspect all the money gone to his friends, some old loans or something. Because he used to smoke hashjish, something unknown for me- he told me he could stop anytime. But I dont believe this. He was lazy, sleeping half the day, and complaining about bad job market.- And he also blamed Mobarak for this situation. What could I say? Every day he went out, meeting his friends, and asking me for money and that he would buy food for me, too. He usually got 200 eg pounds, but returned with two bottles of water and some fruits. But, to make the story short; we just got refused his application for visa to my country, and I am to be frankly, happy! This was on the edge, really- and I am only happy for the experience, and I will never, never do a thing like this again. He tells me he will love me to the end.....right. Till the end of my wallet, I think. Last week he was crying on the phone," please, send me money- I love you so much." Now I have my own plans for the future, and I feel kind of happy.
