Professor Palazzi of the Cultural Institute of the Italian Islamic Community has not only been a moderate but a steadfast supporter of Israel. Some excerpts of his writings may be found at: www.saool.com/learn.htm and www.saool.com/ask.htm
He has written a very informative biography of Wahhab and his legacy with a warning to fellow Moslems. With apparent scholarship of religions he illustrates another aspect of Islamic precepts that were destroyed with the fall of Arabia to the Saudis. His support of Israel he claims is in Islamic writings which are in conflict with the literal archaic portions that were on the way to extinction. The upheaval thrust upon the region by WWI and Imperial ambitions ruined any progress which I believe would have continued under the Ottoman Empire and the rise of Attaturk who understood the danger of "one time elections".
