An Idea To Fix Everything

Each of the following ideas depend on the fulfillment of all, or none will work.

1. The present geographical land inhabited by the Jews in Israel is abandoned to the Islamists.

2 The Jews relocate Israel from its present locus in the Middle East to a region well within the Judeo-Christian 1st World. Surely, there is a New Jersey-sized equivalent area in North America or Western Europe that could suffice. In this new land, instead of watching Jewish children die at the hands of the rabid mass murderers, we will be able to invest our energies in a new cultural, religious, commercial, and scientific renaissance.

3. Political Islam is banned in the Judeo-Christian Western world. No exceptions. No tolerance.

4. Aggressive steps are taken to rapidly and completely remove all proponents of political Islam from all countries not presently within the Islamic Ummah. No exceptions. No tolerance.

5. An agreement is reached basically quarantining the West from Islam. What we are agreeing to in effect is that secular Judeo-Christian society is mutually incompatible with Islam. We go forward with our agenda. The Islamic ulema goes forward with theirs. In the West, mosques are shuttered. And Islam is treated here with approximately the same fear and loathing as Christianity and Judaism are accorded in Saudi Arabia.

6. Far reaching steps are taken to ensure that the Islamic countries are discouraged from developing chemical, biological and radiological weapons of mass destruction.

Concisely, my plan divides the world in two. Western civilization occupies one zone, Islam another. Let them live according to their Koranic world plan. We will live according to our secular Judeo-Christian construct. Steps will be taken to ensure that we are discouraged from encroaching in their part of the world. Likewise, definitive steps must be taken to ensure that our part of the world is free from Islam.

Note: I recognize that I do not draw a clear distinction between "Islam" and political Islam. Here's why. Show me where in the world today, clarity exists between those two concepts. Proponents of supposedly moderate Islam are perennially mute when it comes to the monstrous acts of bestial bloodshed perpetrated by their less-moderate coreligionists. Direct me to a safe, non-threatening branch of Islam and I will happily adjust my plan to allow for the tolerance of such folk.

In the meantime, given the near-immediacy of the Iranian nuclear threat, coupled with the virulent spread of political Islam into the West over the past fifty years, desperate measures are called for, if we wish to preserve our civilization against eventual destruction. As a thought experiment, consider what I am proposing against everything else we've tried since the 1960's.

What have we accomplished in Iraq? Or Afghanistan? Or anywhere else that Islam is currently active? The erosive effects of Islam are everywhere. Think about what degrading and demoralizing nonsense we go through just to get on an airplane these days. Literally seventeen thousand acts of murderous violence have been perpetrated in the name of Islam, just since 9/11. Do you see any other "religion" causing such mayhem? I don't. Is this the world we want our children to inherit? When do we stop backsliding into dhimmitude and begin defending ourselves in a manner that actually accomplishes something useful?

Before anyone wishes to bash my motives, be aware that I am a Jew and a child of holocaust survivors. My historical and cultural credentials are legit. Furthermore, until and unless we draw a clear line in the sand (pun intended) which protects us against encroachment by Islam, we risk losing everything we hold most precious. And I am not talking about receiving benefit without offering commensurate benefit to our foes.

Since every Islamic talking head crows endlessly about the plight of the poor Palestinians and the supposed blight upon Islam that the Jewish State of Israel presently constitutes, I feel my idea literally takes most of the bullets out of their rhetorical guns. They win what they've been screaming --- and murdering --- for since 1948. In banishing Islam from our midst, we finally win a chance to isolate ourselves against their pathologic agenda.

I invite anyone to come up with a better idea. Until then, I see the plan I've just laid out as perhaps our last best chance to save Western civilization.
