impact of 9/11 attacksReader comment on item: FBI Agent in Orange Country Lets Slip the Truth Submitted by donvan (United States), Jun 9, 2011 at 14:41 Dr. Pipes takes issue with the importance I attribute to the attacks of 9/11. Since he does not state the nature of his issues, please allow me to elaborate. From a military point of view, an attack is judged by the cost, effectiveness, ( ie results), and the effect on the enemy. By all these, 9/11 was hugely effective. This single attack has cost the US trillions in Afganistan, Iraq, etc., drawn the US into a "War on terrorism", which is a thinly veiled war against "Islam", and has become a "Permawar" which can end only when so called "Islam" like the Thugges, Shintos, KKK, and others into a defanged beast. stlii dangerous but hobbled. I have followed Dr. Pipes for a long time, and have great respect for his opinions, and would greatly appreciate his response. best regards....
