the reason i feel that we're in so much trouble is because there is no way, outside of complete abject surrender, there is no way of placating these groups of perpetually aggrieved people who take exception to any real. or imagined insult anywhere in the world and use it as an excuse to run riot, destroying and killing in a display of religious fervor. we can discuss the right or wrong of the Florida pastor's action, because we utilize logic and reason, while in other venues, violence is the only answer.

i agree about Israel's predicament, no matter what they do, they seem to earn the enmity and condemnation of the rest of the world. the world seems to regard the constant rocket and mortar attacks they endure as some type of prank, and if they react to these continuing provocations, they are called the aggressors and told to act with more restraint. it's obvious that the inmates are indeed running the asylum.
