"Moderate" vs "Radical" Muslims

It's shocking to me not that Muslims lie, but the ease with which they do so. It's like a "second nature" to them.

From my admittedly cursory study of the Quran, it occurs to me that the so-called "radicals" are actually the true adherents to Islam, and that the "moderate" muslims are either lying about their moderate beliefs, or apostates themselves.

The Quran seems quite clear to me - an Orthodox Christian.
