Wikileaks Red Herring

Reader comment on item: Pouring Cold Water on WikiLeaks
in response to reader comment: Value of WikiLeaks

Submitted by Rich (United States), Jan 6, 2011 at 11:17

Wikileaks, in my view, is a Red Herring intended as a major distraction and tends more to obfuscate real issues and policies than elucidating them. It is assumed that the information contained in Wikileaks is genuine unedited or fabricated. Who will challenge it? As such it has not been shown to be credible and serves only as a distraction (perhaps a well planned distraction) while the real news is unreported.
