I commend Dr. Pipes for his courage in reproducing the very images Islamists claim offensive as I am sure he understands the risk to which Ms. Norris was perhaps rudely awakened.

Cowering in fear in the face of a real threat is not an option for a free citizen however, and unfortunately, there is no realistic way to "water down the pool of targets" as Ms. Norris innocently suggested. One is alone when facing evil.
