Hating & Criticizing America Are Not The SameReader comment on item: Hating America's Success Submitted by Keith Markman (United States), Oct 17, 2004 at 22:17 In fairness, I have not read, "Hating America: A History." However, one needs to take more care in differentiating between those who hate the U.S., and those who have legitimate criticisms, but do not wish us ill, or believe there are many positives that provide a counterweight to the negatives. The difference can sometimes be gleaned from the tone of the writer, but not always.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Comment on this item
