If the French president (a moron in charge of a truly great nation beset by insurgents of its own) wants to see Paris turn into Baghdad, all he need to is do what millions of French want him to do: proclaim France's historical friendship to the U.S.

But...

With about 22% of the (legal!) French citizens being Muslim Arabs, do you think G.W. Bush is someone a Muslim Arab Frenchman wants to cuddle up next to?

Hating America is, in some cases, a matter of self-preservation. I pity the French for allowing their country to have been invaded. And the British are not far behind.

If you think anti-Americanism is strong now, wait 20 years...
