I'm German, have studied and lived in France and the UK and do not share the opinion of many readers here.
I do not know one person with half a brain among my friends and relatives across Western-Europe who hates America or Americans.
Sure, you may think that all Europeans have only half of a brain :)
The US has a more successful economic system? Yes, absolutely correct. You deserve it because you work hard for it. America as a superpower takes responsibilities worldwide ... also true, correct and good.
But to conclude that Europeans hate you because of power and success is not what I experienced. Instead, by far most people I met admire America but this does not mean we cannot disagree on certain points when politicans on both sides of the Atlantic behave like children.
