I'm confused as to the point of this article. Was it just to enlighten us as to how disgruntled Americans as well as non-Americans feel about the United States? What purpose does that serve?
For a counterbalance to this article - why not find some immigrants to the US and ask them how they feel about the country they now call home. Ask them what brought them here and why. Why is it that the entire world pays attention to our national elections, not to mention to the sillier things that our great nation finds itself in the middle of? We may no do things the way others do and that may be what causes strife. But know what - if we did, they'd hate that too.
Honestly, as a proud American, it does not bother me in the least that other people are very anti-American. They are entitled to their opinion (at least they should be), as am I. I very distinctly remember my Mamma telling me "You can't please everyone."
