in response to reader comment: Accepting Israel's Exceptional Status Before Almighty God - America Does Not Replace Israel

Hi Mr, M Tovey,

First of all , I wish you a very happy independence day.

On the question of American exceptionalism and America's role in the world , if we want to look at the history of America since it's beginning , we see negatives outweighing the positives in a great way. The question is not that how evil America is , the question is that why the so-called true Christians in America do anything to prevent the evil that America is inflicting upon a hapless and powerless world ?

I do not remember John Winthrope or George Washington condemning the Atlantic slave trade(only John Brown had the guts to fight against it) , I do not remember Thomas Jefferson condemning the slaughter of the native Americans , I do remember Theodor Roosevelt congratulating the American military officer responsible for Morro massacres in Philippines (only Mark Twain condemned that) , I do not remember Billy Graham condemning the Hirosima or Dresden , I do not recall Pat Robertson or John Hagee condemning Abu Gharib , Guantanamo bay or Faluja massacres.

Whenever I give these examples of evil purported by America you give certain reasons which excuses your country. I ask you do not you think that you are against the teachings of Jesus when you support evil and amoral acts by power hungry and war mongering American leaders ? Remember it took a Christian like John Brown to fight against the evil of slavery in the Bible belt.

Do not you think that buying into American exceptionalism was the moral undoing for American Christians ? Why you cannot be like Dietrich Bonhoeffer who gave up his life for his faith but did not support the moral wrongs perpetrated by his own country ?

Remember Jesus said that "You cannot serve both God and Mammon at the same time " . Do not you think that American Christians are doing sin by supporting their country when it does evil ? So are not American Christians like you performing sin when you side with your amoral and sinful leaders instead of the poor and righteous in the world ? Is it not idol worshiping for an American Christian like you to be patriotic ?

Another question to the American Christians like you. One thing I have observed in my correspondence with the average Americans is that their sense of paranoia and fear about anything that does not agree with their views. Why is it the case ? Why cannot American Christians be bold and calm if they have faith instead of being fearful and paranoid like they are currently ? Why do you fear and hate the rest of the world and think you are exceptional ?

Kindly think a lot hard and then answer these questions Mr. Tovey. I will be eagerly waiting for your answers
