Mohammed Bouyeri, killer of Theo van Gogh, is another example of this: Bouyeri not only proudly pleaded guilty, he said at his trial -- most proudly -- that he would do it again if he had it to live over. And he, too, was explicit in his explanation why: Islam, he said, required it. Of course "Islamist anger and aspirations" are what "motivate" our "terrorist enemies." If they themselves say so, why won't we?
