More reply to Dr. Pipes

Reader comment on item: Accepting Israel as the Jewish State[: Public Opinion in Four Arab Countries]
in response to reader comment: What kind of Jewish state ?

Submitted by Debanjan Banerjee (India), May 13, 2010 at 02:10

Dr. Pipes said the following as a reply to my question : "What about how Israelis want to view themselves ? Since Israelis as a people themselves are divided upon the question about how to define the term "Jewish state" so kindly let me know what do you think about this proposition ?"

"The Jewish state is not some abstraction but actually exists today. The enemies of Israel need to reconcile themselves to its existence."

My Question : See Dr. Pipes , I am not talking about enemies of Israel. As you are well aware of most of the Israelis are not united on what kind of state Israel should be in future , so I would like to ask you what role do you see for Israel's growing Arab and Haredi minority in the future Israel ?

Also how do you think Israel should be governed as a state in future ? I believe this question is probably more important than how Israel is viewed by it's enemies ?
