God and Godlessness

If you read carefully, the concept of day and night is mentioned before there is sun and moon, therefore day does not mean 24 hours as measured by Big Ben, but a period to be defined by godly times

Similarly god does not "require" rest. He creates a day of rest for Man, and sets an example.

Godless societies are those that place Man above God, and therefore have no qualms about doing ungodly things. Like placing all believers in gas chambers, or killing 80 million in Cultural revolution, or setting up Gulags to serve the Party. God is a set of morals, and the knowledge tat a higher authority has set some rules of moral behavior. Islam is not a religion per se but a set of justifications for the most ungodly behaviours (such as severing heads en masse and one night "marriages" and the mass rape of captive children etc) contrived by an empire-builder. Maligning God does no one any good, if fact it puts him in the same category as Hitler, Stalin, Mao Ze-Dong, and the rest of the dictator-murderers of the last century.
