Sorry, but I am tired of hearing that "Wiser heads will insist that White House amateurs end this tempest ,"etc.

Reader comment on item: The Worst Crisis in 35 Years?

Submitted by Mark Gold (United States), Mar 17, 2010 at 14:36

Don't we remember wise heads telling us:

  • obie wants to be a domestic pres, and will be too busy to worry abt mid-east.
  • iran, iraq, etc. would be his most important mid east problems, and palestinians would take a back burner.
  • the Wash. establishment will force him to a consensus position.
  • obie learned his lesson after full 'settlement freeze' fiasco, and will moderate his position.
So here we go again. As he lapped up jeremiah wright for 20 yrs, of course he would have a one-sided view, and it wouldn't favor Israel.

Just because an action is not rational doesn't mean he won't take it. It's an error to ascribe rationality to others, especially an enemy.
