I didn't KNOW. I didn't UNDERSTAND. The expressions which you have listed have a foul and repulsive smell. A hint of people watching, not even in horror, as the most unspeakable acts are committed in plain view. People not moved in the least, but caught up in their own calculus of the next right move in their own game. People who would betray you and me because they have already betrayed themselves.
