Very Accurate and Unique ObservationsReader comment on item: Dealing With Middle Eastern Conspiracy Theories Submitted by Ahmed (United States), Sep 8, 2004 at 13:50 Having been brought up as a Muslim and part of an Egyptian family, I have seen the Arab delusion, paranoia, and love of conspiracy first hand. Given the impact these attitudes have, it's important to pay close attention to them. You are the only person I have read who has brought this subject up. Arabs (and perhaps Muslims in general) are a paranoid, delusional people, and this fact may be the biggest problem in the war on terror. Their attitude simultaneously offers them justification for their actions AND denial of these actions at the same time. If this seems contradictory, then you now have a glimpse of the Arab mindset. In addition, their delusion gives them the ubiquitous shirking of responsibility for their situation which prevents them from growing beyond their mindset.
