To Margaret or LuigiReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Dee Dee (United States), Jan 24, 2010 at 01:17 You two seem to be the brightest ones on this blog. Can you explain this to me? Is there a difference in a visa and a greencard. The visa is to enter our country (US), but can they have you apply for a green card while you are in their country, and is that greencard a permanent greencard or a temporary one? If it is temporary, when can they apply for the permanent. He had a lawyer when she got there, and they had him do the paper work and she filed them when she came back to the states. U.S. What is "conditinal-permanent residence status." I have told someone that her husband may not come to her if he gets his permanent greencard, from how I understand the process is from reading this blog. I have recommend this blog to her. I think she has been used before he gets here. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
